The Ask
- Clever needed Growth marketing support for their core audience of users to increase retention and engagement.
- They also needed a technical resource to migrate from Pardot to a more robust ESP and customer data platform.
The Opportunity
- We identified that Clever’s implementation of their new CDP would allow for more intricate segmentation, allowing us to improve their Growth Marketing roadmap with data-enriched campaigns.
- This new CDP also allowed for better conversion reporting and would eventually power executive dashboards.
- We also discovered that their event landing pages were being underutilized and lacked clean experimentation.
The Process
Clever Messaging tool
- We designed their growth communications for their new messaging tool, targeting engaged, core users in the app.
Improved reporting and experimentation
- Transformed raw datasets into operational dashboards and identified areas to invest in and create experiments.
ESP and CDP implementation
- We helped them scale the capacities of a five-person team by managing the implementation of new CDP and ESP, empowering Clever to segment and experiment with cohorts.
The Results
- Adoption of Clever’s messaging tool increased 10% and these users maintained a retention rate of 40% WoW.
- Clever’s marketers were able to successfully target and experiment with segmented users by leveraging the new ESP and CDP.
